Ladies Aid
St. Paul's Ladies Aid provides opportunities for the women of the
congregation to gather for Bible study, service and fellowship.
Highlights of the year are the Ladies Aid Tea in the Fall and the
Turkey Supper on the second Sunday in November. The annual
Turkey Supper has been held for over fifty years and in recent
years over 800 dinners have been served. Such a large operation
involves many members of all ages helping out to put on this event
which is well known throughout the area as one of the best church
dinners in Union County. The members of the Ladies Aid also give of
their time and talents to serve the church in many ways such as
taking care of the altar, making and displaying banners, providing
flowers for the altar and providing luncheons for families after
funerals, just to name a few. This group is also affiliated with the
Lutheran Women's Missionary League of the Lutheran
Church-Missouri Synod and through their mites (collections of small
change) they help to support mission work throughout the world.
